Thomas works with clients using an individually tailored approach that is specific to each person's strengths and motivations. He blends cutting edge therapy approaches to create meaningful and lasting change. Most importantly, safety is promoted in each session to enhance the potential for fearless intimacy with one's self and others.

In addition to his training in clinical treatment of general psychological concerns, Thomas is trained in the treatment of sexual dysfunctions. He specializes in male sexual dysfunction, disability, chronic illness, sexual identity, orientation, and relationship therapy.

Thomas has presented on relationship and sexual topics on both a state and national level and has been recognized for his contributions to the field of sexuality. He has also done extensive work in community sexual health, as well as residential treatment for delinquent and displaced youths in the city of Philadelphia. He is passionate about social justice and respecting the dignity of every individual.

Thomas Wood received his B.S. in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA in 2003. He then received his Masters in Social Work (MSW) and his Masters in Human Sexuality Education (MEd) from Widener University in 2008. 4 years later, he completed his PhD in Human Sexuality in 2012.
Dr. Wood became a licensed clinical social work (LCSW) in 2012 and now supervises other clinicians seeking their clinical degrees.
Dr. Wood is a certified sex therapist (CST) through the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and serves on the Ethics Committee of this organization.
